The coming weekend sees Hunts host the first Classic and Vintage Racing Dinghy Association rally of 2014 and it looks set to be a good one. To qualify for this racing a class must have been designed before 1965 and built before 1985. We are also allowing wooden single floor phantoms, Signets and the de May Merlins are joining us on the Saturday.

Hunts has built up an excellent reputation as a CVRDA host, last year being voted top inland nationals venue in the GJW Direct poll after hosting a fantastic National Rally. This year's event shows equal promise with plenty of interesting boats planning to attend

Good examples of typical club boats that might qualify would be GP14s, Wayfarers (1079 is coming) older Europes, Enterprises, Fireflys, Fireballs and so on, but we also attract the exotic and the 'lost' such as Jollyboats, ToYs, low rider moths, Mx Ray, Minisails, Marauders and more. For more eligibility info see www.cvrda.org.

Free camping is provided on site for Friday and Saturday night, please contact us to let us know you're coming. The historic town of St Ives is on our doorstep for non sailing significant others, as is the guided bus route right into Cambridge.

Racing starts at around 11.00 on Saturday morning, with the CVRDA event extending on into Sunday as well. For the de May Merlins and Signets there will be three races with two to count, and for the CVRDA six races are planned with four to count. For extra info go to the www.huntssc.org.
