It is only three weeks to the 2014 Beaver Sailing Club Laser Open which will be held on Saturday 17th May. All rigs are welcome. Last year was the first Laser event run by the club for many years and was a great success despite a dire weather forecast. Given the level of interest shown already 2014 will be even bigger and better.
The format for this year has been changed slightly with five races planned. Three back to back before lunch and two after. Overall a similar total sailing time but more action. More bang for your buck.
Beaver Sailing Club has always had a strong Laser fleet and currently is stronger than ever, having won the Top Club Trophy at the Nationals for the last two years. This is a fantastic opportunity for sailors across the North of England and North Midlands to come together and have some great racing.
The new clubhouse which was only just open for use last year is now providing superb facilities for members and visitors. A warm welcome is guaranteed.
