Manor Park Sailing Club hold their early season Open Day this coming Saturday (26th April).
Set in picturesque surroundings in the heart of the Staffordshire countryside, Manor Park prides itself on being family focused and provides an ideal place for everyone to take their first steps in our wonderful sport.
With a comprehensive RYA approved training programme in place for 2014, everyone from complete novices to experienced racers will be catered for via an innovative modular system that maximises time on the water for all that take part. Last season saw several absolute sailing beginners progress through the scheme and actually take part in club racing as their skills progressed.
Saturday also coincides with the start of this years 'Junior Sail' season, so expect many excited youngsters returning for another year of sailing and other water-based malarkey.
With a regular junior turnout of up to forty youngsters per week, this is a superb way to introduce kids to a new sport and new friends.
The Open day takes place from 10am to 4pm and is completely free to attend. With tours of the three-lake complex on offer as well as plenty of members on hand to offer up advice and information, this is a great opportunity to see what either sailing - or the club - has to offer.
Manor Park SC can be found on the A513 between the villages of Kings Bromley and Armitage, in Staffordshire.
Visit the club website for further information.
