The next three World Championships are to be held at Perth (Australia), Lake Garda (Italy) and a European Venue to be selected. ACO is working with the MPSCA to develop the best series of world championships ever held for singled-handed asymmetric trapeze dinghies. The support from ACO will enable fantastic event programmes for the competitors, both on and off the water.

Following a hugely successful World Championships at Weymouth & Portland National Sailing Academy UK in 2012, attracting 105 entries and an equally successful European Championships at Attersee in Austria, ACO have agreed to a longer term relationship with the only ISAF international high performance trapeze skiff class.

Throughout the world, the ACO brand is recognised as a leading supplier in the design, development and manufacture of surface water drainage systems.

"We are always looking for unusual opportunities to spread the word about ACO and supporting this series of events is a good fit for ACO. The Musto Skiff and the class sponsor Musto are known for innovation, quality and performance, all values that fit well with ACO" said Michael Hennigs, Corporate Marketing Manager from ACO.

Musto Skiff Class Association Chairman Iver Ahlmann said "The Musto Performance Skiff class has always worked to run large international events. The partnership with ACO for these events will allow that to continue with what we hope to be a fantastic series of events; the last world championships, at Weymouth (UK), saw an entry of 105 boats and we hope to build on that".

Running successful championships requires a good mix of people from around the world, competition, social activity, event management and of course sunshine and wind. The challenge is to deliver all of this and to keep the entry fees affordable for the competitors.

The sponsorship from ACO will allow a more extensive programme to be delivered and the support from Musto will mean many prizes will be available through the fleet.

Paul Manning - Musto Performance Skiff class international secretary said, "We are very pleased to have secured a long term major sponsorship deal with ACO. It is rewarding to see the hard work put in by the class producing results that ensure our World Championships will continue to be not only a great experience for the competitors but provide ACO with quality media coverage worldwide."

To find out more about the Musto Skiff Class or ACO why not visit this weekend (1st – 2nd March) RYA Suzuki Dinghy Show where the ACO logo'd Musto Skiff will be on Stand C80.

  • Fraglia vela Riva – Lake Garda (Italy) 11th – 19th September 2015
