Santander keeps the lead
The second day of the 40º Off Valparaíso Race ended with Jorge Araneda's "Santander" in the first place of the Overall again. This is the second date of the 2013-2014 VTR Oceánico Championship and the first one for the Soto 40 International Class.
The boats completed three windward – leeward courses today with a 8-10 knots wind. The Argentinean "Patagonia", property of Norberto Álvarez Vitale, won the first one, "Santander" won the second one and Per Von Appen's "Entel" achieved the victory in the last race.
With five races, Araneda's team is the first in the Overall with 13 points. "Entel" is the second with 18 points and Ramon Eluchans' "Yali" the third (20 points).
The competition will end tomorrow with two more windward – leeward races at the Yacht Club de Chile. First warning signal is scheduled at 12:30 pm.
