Saturday

16 boats started the first race, Todd Grady (830) and Tom Dring (831) established an early lead from Andy Jarvis (1576), but Tom passed Todd before the finish, with Simon Barker (708) slipping into third place.

The second race of the morning was held in similar conditions, with Tom Dring having another good start with Todd Grady and Simon Barker close behind. Simon took over the lead and pulled out about 300 metres before finishing first with Andy Jarvis in second followed by Tom Dring.

After lunch the third race was started using a different beat for the first mark, Simon Barker rounding first from Tom Harlow (1753) and Edward Matthews (1117). After some close racing Simon won from Tom Dring and Andy Jarvis.

The last race of the day was held with the wind dropping slightly and the sun coming out Simon Barker lead the race at the first mark, followed by Todd Grady and Victoria Marfleet (213). Todd took the lead for the next two laps, then Andy Jarvis pulled up from fourth place into the lead, which he held, winning from Simon and Todd, Victoria coming in fourth.

Sunday

Racing was delayed because of lack of wind, the first race eventually starting at 1.00 pm. Simon Barker led round the first mark from Andy Jarvis and Victoria Marfleet The wind died away to nothing, making it difficult, Simon winning by 100 metres from Andy Jarvis and Victoria, who had fought a close battle with throughout.

After a further delay a light breeze filled in from the West, enabling the last race to be started. Simon Barker rounded the first mark in the lead from Victoria Marfleet with Andy Jarvis in third. The wind died away but the first three positions stayed the same.
