Just 4 weekends to go before the celebration of Jack Holt's life and designs at Wraysbury Lake Sailing Club, co-organized by the CVRDA, on 7/8 July. 3 handicap races are planned for the Saturday. Sunday morning will be given over as a time for everyone to have a good look at all the boats, comparing old and new, seeing how Jack's designs have been kept relevant by incorporating modern building methods, and voting for your favorite boat of the weekend. Sunday afternoon will see a Grand Pursuit Race, with handicaps based on the results of Saturday's racing, to give boats classic and modern a chance to win the great prizes, kindly donated by sponsors Pelican Racing, Rondar Raceboats and Holt.
Plans are going well, so expect to see some great Jack Holt boats, both old and new, over the weekend.
More information and entry forms are available on the Wraysbury Lake Sailing Club website, and early entry enables the organizing team to ensure that there is enough beer and food on site, as well as giving them an idea of how many boats to expect!
