Cirrus Raceboats and Devoti Sailing in advanced Icon discussions

Cirrus Raceboats, producer of the Blaze and Icon dinghies, and Devoti Sailing are in the advanced stages of negotiation toward an agreement for Devoti to take on the production and marketing in mainland Europe of the Icon dinghy.

Mike Lyons of Cirrus said 'I am very excited about the prospect of working with Devoti whose consistent quality of product has impressed me for many years. Devoti are well known throughout Europe and the rest of the world and will bring an international flavour and wider representation to our business as we finalise the agreement'.

Roman Teply, managing director of Devoti Sailing, said 'Having test sailed Icon I was very impressed with its performance and ease of handling. It has certainly been well thought out and would be a great boat to complement our current range of products. I hope that we can complete the deal within a week or two and get started on the production of the Icon in our factory as soon as possible'.
