Devoti Sailing at the RYA Suzuki Dinghy Show

Devoti Sailing and Suntouched Sailboats are delighted to have an increased presence this year at the RYA Suzuki Dinghy Show at Alexandra Palace, London, this week-end, the 28th February and the 1st March. This year, on stands G10, G12 and G14, in the West Hall, Devoti, in co-operation with the D-One and D-Zero UK Class Associations, will have their largest ever presentation at the show.
There will be something to interest most dinghy sailors, from the improved Devoti Optimist, rapidly gaining market share, though the D-Zero, celebrating the anniversary of its' launch last year, the D-One, thought now by many, to be one of the leading asymmetric single handers in the market, to the Olympic class Finn.
The Devoti Optimist has some interesting features and selling points and there will shortly be an exciting announcement – watch this space!
The D-Zero Class Association will be in force at the show, to talk about their first great year in the class. On the commercial side, Dan Holman, designer of the D-Zero, will be on hand on Saturday, together with his concept boat, the Punk, to explain how the Punk was refined for the mass market and explain the differences between the Punk and the production D-Zero.
Making its first public appearance at the show, is the D-Zero Blue, the 6.9 sq.m. rig for the lighter sailor. Also look out for the D-Zero in a custom colour, now available as a special order from Devoti.
The D-One Class Association are showing a D-One with a 'wrapped' foredeck, to illustrate that everything is possible and the possibilities for individuality is infinite in their demanding and exciting class. Check out the full and varied regatta program for 2015.
It is no secret that Devoti Finns have won every medal at every Olympic regatta since 1996 and alongside the Classic devoti Finn, will be the new D-Fantastica design. The D-Fantastica is a result of international collaboration, and a completely new design, from the ground up. Using the latest in design technology, the D-Fantastica Finn is the most optimised Finn ever built. The design team had to focus on the complexities presented by the Finn dynamics and having tapped into Luca Devoti's vast technical knowledge; they used CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) modelling, with a degree of flexibility. Tests to date across the wind range and different sea states have proven to be very positive.
The international confidence in Devoti's ability to build a world beating boat, has led to a full order book, so the keen Finn sailor will need to pay his deposit fast to get a place in the production queue!
