Sunsail is pleased to announce the all-new Sunsail 444 catamaran has been nominated by Cruising World magazine for 2012 Boat of the Year in the Cruising Multihulls category. The annual BOTY Awards recognise the best new sailboat models that are introduced to the North American market, and the Sunsail 444 is one of the top 21 boats selected across five categories. The 2012 BOTY winners will be announced in the magazine’s January issue.
Built by Robertson and Caine and designed by performance cat experts Morrelli and Melvin, this revolutionary new model is available for charter exclusively with Sunsail. Cheryl Powell, COO of Sunsail, remarked, “The Sunsail 444 is the big sister to our popular 2011 Boat of the Year winner, the Sunsail 384. We’re proud to offer our customers yet another superb charter catamaran that has been applauded by industry leaders for outstanding design and performance handling.”
This custom-built 4-cabin/4-head catamaran is extremely well-planned, and outshines the competition for a number of reasons including the revolutionary forward cockpit area accessible from the main salon and an extended aft cockpit to shade the spacious seating area. Other amenities include air-conditioning, onboard generator, electric windlass, the latest navigation technology from Raymarine and solar panels that provide more efficient charging of onboard batteries.
Sunsail 444 - Now available in the Caribbean
The Sunsail 444 has now arrived in the British Virgin Islands and St. Vincent for winter 2011/2012 sailing holidays, and has received excellent guest reviews after making its debut in Croatia, Greece and Turkey earlier this summer.
Powell continued, “During the recent Southampton Boat Show, the Sunsail 444 debuted in the UK and customers experienced many of her new features first-hand. There’s always much excitement to be one of the first aboard a brand new model, and our availability for this model is quickly becoming limited for holidays.”
The Sunsail 444 may be also purchased through the Sunsail Yacht Partnership Program, with attractive guaranteed revenues, up to 12 weeks sailing time each year and no operating or maintenance costs, including dockage and insurance.
