West Kirby Sailing Club Annual Regatta

West Kirby Sailing Club held their Annual Regatta on 2nd July, with a turnout of 91 boats, ranging from Stars through to B14's and a Flying Fifteen. The event was sailed in light airs as the final event in the Wirral Regatta Calender. The Next regatta West Kirby will hold will be in conjuction with Hoylake as part of the Menai Straits Fortnight.

The winners in each class are as follows:

 Race 1: West Kirby Star Class - Stella , W.A.E.Creed (West Kirby SC)
 Race 2: L.B.S.A - Wild Oars , A.Hiscocks (Dee Sailing Club)
 Race 3: Handicap Catamarans - , Dart 18, T.Dodd ( Dee Sailing Club)
 Race 4: Falcon Class, Hawkwind, J.Burthem,(West Kirby Sailing Club)
 Race 5: Hilbre Island One Design - Highwayman, R.Glover(West Kirby Sailing Club)
 Race 6: Hoylake Opera - Orchid , D.Morley (Hoylake Sailing Club)
 Race 7: Seabird Half Rater - Sandpiper, A.Watson (Wallasey YC)
 Race 8: Fast Handicap (below PY 1032) - Flying Fifteen, Neil Platt (West Kirby & Bolton SC)
 Race 9: International Laser Class - Super Duck IV , R.Graham(West Kirby SC)
Race 10: GP14 Class - Gramaphone, A.M.Hartley(West Kirby SC)
Race 11: Handicap (PY 1032 -1199) - LARK Pandemonium , N.Meredith Jones, (West Kirby SC)
Race 12: Slow Handicap (Above PY 1199) - MIRROR Tarka Three, M.Taylor, (Port Dinorwic SC)
