The Notts County Sailing Club regatta saw a strong entry of over forty boats, with 200 social tickets sold, it was going to be a fun family weekend.
A strong Bala contingent travelled to join the club sailors. Racing was split into a morning Commodore’s Cup (average lap) and afternoon class racing, with a novice race won by Sam Wheelhouse and socials every night including an excellent magician, Roy Bond, with some great rope and card tricks entertaining adults and youngsters.
Saturday & Sunday were gusty, Saturday being the better day with sunshine, whilst Monday was wet and windless, so all types of sailing was encountered.
