Royal Northumberland YC to host East Coast Sailing Week

This year Royal Northumberland Yacht Club are hosting the 2011 East Coast Sailing Week. The dates are July Thursday 7th to Sunday 11th. Plans and organisation are well in hand as I write this in March for a fabulous event, what RNYC do well.

Four days of great racing in and around Blyth Bay, 5 minutes from your berth, predominantly a warm westerly wind coming off the land giving flat seas with little tide to worry about. 3 nights of superb entertainment on and around the club, a unique lightship converted into club ship.

Four classes to cover all levels of sailing, from racers to gentleman’s white sail, including for the first time an overseas class. Any visitor from the North sea rim is invited to take part. An opportunity to enjoy sailing and racing in different waters.

Also incorporated in the event will be 707 Northern and the Soling National championships.
