New berth for Yachts & Yachting

by The Chelsea Magazine Company Ltd. 6 Dec 2010 15:29 GMT

Yachts & Yachting, the iconic yachting magazine first published in 1947, has been acquired from GNM Media by The Chelsea Magazine Company.

Often described as "the sailors' bible" and renowned for its expert coverage of local and international sailing events, Yachts & Yachting will continue to be edited by Gael Pawson.

"I have always been passionate about delivering a high quality product for both readers and advertisers," says Gael, "and I'm looking forward to continuing to develop Yachts & Yachting. With 63 years of heritage behind it, the magazine now has a fantastic future in the hands of publishers who really care about their titles."

The Chelsea Magazine Company also publishes Britain magazine on behalf of Visit Britain and other market-leading titles such as Artists & Illustrators and Cruise International.

"We have become well-known over the years for producing finest quality magazines," says MD Paul Dobson, "from Motorsport to The English Garden. We value magazines with a real tradition and we believe Yachts & Yachting fits perfectly into our portfolio. We look forward to publishing it for future generations of sailors and taking it on to the next level."
