Last sign up call for regional RYA Club & Coach Conferences

by Ellie Williamson, RYA 26 Nov 2009 18:23 GMT 5-6 December 2009

The RYA is giving all club representatives and coaches involved in planning for the new season a last chance to reserve their places on the annual regional RYA Club and Coach Conferences taking place around the UK next weekend, (5-6 December).

The conferences are your chance to get the lowdown on issues likely to influence the planning of your club’s training, racing and coaching activities in 2010. Subjects on the agenda include important updates to funding available, class recognition and CRB vetting and barring.

There will also be a general up date from RYA High Performance Managers and Regional Development Officers on issues relevant to your area as well as the chance to attend specialist workshops offering pointers on how to grow and sustain your membership and challenges existing in clubs.

Guest speakers will also be at the events sharing their expertise on coaching fundamentals giving you the chance to expand your knowledge and discuss any areas of the topic you have questions about.

The conferences also provide an opportunity for coaches to revalidate their RYA Level 2 Racing Coach Certificate.

Place reservations must be made at the latest by Monday 30th November, if you are not to miss out this year. For more information and to book your place please visit the website at www.ryaracingevents.org.uk and click on ‘Coaching Course’.

The RYA Club and Coach Conferences are free to Volvo RYA Champion Clubs or for clubs working with their Regional Development Officer/Regional Club Coach to develop adult participation; otherwise it will cost £10 per person.

South West – Mountbatten Centre Plymouth
South East – Bewl Valley SC

Sunday 6th December
