Join us on Monday the 28th July at 7pm for our next Connected Webinar - Keeping Sailing Safe: Creating Policies and Getting Criminal Records Checks Right.

The webinar will include an insightful panel discussion designed to help you create a safe and welcoming environment at your sailing club — not just for your participants, but for your volunteers, staff, and visitors too. Together with our panel of experts, we'll explore why having a clear, well-understood safeguarding policy is important, how to build one that's practical and relevant to your club, and how to move beyond basic compliance to truly embed safeguarding into your club's culture. We will also unravel the sometimes-confusing world of criminal records disclosure checks, explaining why they're a crucial part of safe recruitment, understanding who needs to be checked, when, how, and why, and how to manage the process smoothly through an umbrella body.

Whether you're setting up safeguarding processes for the first time or reviewing what you already have in place, this session will leave you with clear, actionable advice and signposting to all the support available to you to help you on this journey. Together, we can ensure that the water is the safest place to be.

Book your place here now to watch live or receive a link to the recording, please share the details with anyone at your organisation who may be interested - rya.eventsair.com/csdbs-jun25/csdbsjun25
