British Moth Bossoms Cup at Medley Sailing Club

Brilliant sunshine and very decent temperatures greeted the four visitor that joined the home fleet for the Bossom’s Cup at Medley Sailing Club for the final Travellers Trophy meeting of the British Moth Season.
The first of four races was started upstream from the club line ina very light breeze and Tim Lupton (SESSCA) eased into an immediate lead from from Graham Pope (FoSSC) race officer Phil Page, sensibly shotened course down to one lap, by which time Popehad taken lead.
With slightly more wind for the second race, Pope started well but Lupton eased his way up the “Perch” bank to take a commanding lead by the finish. David Cannon from the home fleet was up to the dual challenge of Andrew Perrott Chippenham) and Gary Tomkins (SESCCA) taking third.
Lupton had the measure of the fleet in the third race taking the bullet From Terry Mason (Medley) leaving Pope third and Cannon fourth.
With the trophy all but won Lupton made no mistakes in the fourth, leaving the rest to fight over the minor places.

2nd Graham Pope (Frampton) 6pts
3rd David Cannon (Medley) 9pts
4th Terry Mason (Medley) 9pts
5th Andrew Perrott (Chippenham) 12pts
6th Gary Tomkins (SESSSCA) 18pts
