7:47 - Great Britain update

4 golds, 1 silver, 1 bronze - the greatest Olympics ever for Great Britain! Simply awesome by Team GB.

7:44 - Star - Overall Results

Gold - Great Britain - Iain Percy & Andrew Simpson
Silver - Brazil - Robert Scheidt & Bruno Prada
Bronze - Sweden - Fredrik Loof & Anders Ekstrom

7:42 - Star - Medal Race Finish

Poland finish first, Brazil third, Germany fourth, the Brits finish fifth and have won gold!!!

7:41 - Star - Medal Race Update

This is such a close race for medals. I can't call this until the boats cross the line!

7:38 - Star - Medal Race Update

Anything could happen on the run - there's a huge separation between the teams as they choose different courses!

7:37 - Star - Medal Race Update

At the final windward mark, Poland lead, Switzerland second, Portugal third, Germany fourth, Brazil fifth - the Brits are in seventh! The Swedes are at the back!

7:35 - Star - Medal Race Update

Iain & Bart have tacked on the starboard layline, the Swedes have tacked too. This is too tense!

7:33 - Star - Medal Race Update

The right hand side has paid and Iain & Bart have dropped back - are they going to stay in the top six?

7:30 - Star - Medal Race Update

Iain & Bart have got the cover on the Swedes - this is going well. The worry is if they drop back in the fleet - if they finish lower than sixth then Brazil can win gold.

7:27 - Star - Medal Race Update

Iain & Bart are ahead of the Swedes! Brazil round the leeward mark first, Great Britain are in second, France third, Sweden fourth. Great Britain are in the gold medal position overall... at the moment!

7:26 - Star - Medal Race Update

The Swedes have gybed - this is where we see how the Brits have done with the deep option!

7:25 - Star - Medal Race Update

They're all powering downwind in the mighty Stars. It's so close!

7:23 - Star - Medal Race Update

At the windward mark it's Brazil first, New Zealand second, Sweden third, Great Britain fourth or fifth. Iain & Bart take the deep option downwind.

7:20 - Star - Medal Race Update

Brazil's Robert Scheidt & Bruno Prada are flying on the left hand side of the course.

7:19 - Star - Medal Race Update

Advantage to Freddie Loof & Anders Ekstrom as they cross the Brits - but only by a whisker!

7:17 - Star - Medal Race Update

The Brits are flying in the breeze - the Swedes have tacked back towards the pack - this is going to be the first time we can see how each side has done!

7:14 - Star - Medal Race Update

A big surprise - the Brits haven't covered the Swedes. A huge split is developing. Ben Ainslie describes the situation as 'scary' but says Iain & Bart must be confident in their decision. I hope they are!

7:13 - Star - Medal Race Start

Iain & Bart have locked the Swedes out at the committee boat on the start! A good start. The Swedes tack off to the right hand side.

7:08 - Star - Medal Race Start

The five minute gun goes. Going into the race, Freddie Loof & Anders Ekstrom from Sweden are on 33 points, Great Britain's Iain Percy & Andrew 'Bart' Simpson are on 35 points and Brazil's Robert Scheidt & Bruno Prada are on 47 points.

6:48 - Star - Medal Race

The teams are all out on the water waiting for the start.

6:47 - Tornado - Overall Results

Gold - Spain - Fernando Echavarri & Anton Paz Blanco
Silver - Australia - Darren Bundock & Glenn Ashby
Bronze - Argentinia - Santiago Lange & Carlos Espínola

The British team of Leigh McMillan & Will Howden finish sixth.

6:35 - Tornado - Medal Race Finish

Leigh & Will win the race - this could move them up to sixth overall. Canada finish second, the Dutch third and the Spaniards Fernando Echavarri & Anton Paz Blanco finish fourth to take gold in the Tornado class. Australians Darren Bundock & Glenn Ashby finish fifth in the race to take the silver medal. Bronze goes to Argentinians Santiago Lange & Carlos Espínola.

6:31 - Tornado - Medal Race Update

They're flying downwind - the medal positions are being decided in the battle between Spaniards Fernando Echavarri & Anton Paz Blanco and the Australians Darren Bundock & Glenn Ashby. Spain are ahead in the points going into the race and in this race. They're looking good for gold.

6:30 - Tornado - Medal Race Update

The Spanish are 4th, Australia 5th, Argentina 6th, Austria 7th.

6:29 - Tornado - Medal Race Update

At the final windward mark Leigh & Will round first, the Canadian team of Oskar Johansson & Kevin Stittle round second. The Dutch are third.

6:24 - Tornado - Medal Race Update

The Spanish team of Fernando Echavarri & Anton Paz Blanco are leading going into the medal race and are right up there is this race. Australian's Darren Bundock & Glenn Ashby are second overall but having a shocker in this race. If the Argentinian's Santiago Lange & Carlos Espínola have a good race they can move into silver. The Canadian team of Oskar Johansson & Kevin Stittle, who were in fifth going into the race are pushing for the lead and could move into the bronze medal position.

6:21 - Tornado - Medal Race Update

The teams round the leeward mark. The British team of Leigh & Will round in first place - nice work boys.

6:19 - Tornado - Medal Race Update

The German crew of Johannes Polgar & Florian Spalteholz have capsized!

6:18 - Tornado - Medal Race Update

There's some great onboard coverage from the boats on the BBC. Ben Ainslie has joined Richard Simmonds for commentary. This really is great TV. Tell me again - why are multihulls being dropped from the Olympics?

6:14 - Tornado - Medal Race Update

Good morning! The awesome Tornadoes have just rounded the first windward mark in their medal race. The conditions are fantastic, 20+ knots. Leigh McMillan & Will Howden may be out of the medals but they've rounded the windward mark in second.
