Liverpool Yacht Club held the fourth race of their Summer Series on Sunday 29th July. It was a depleted fleet as many yachts were in Anglesey for the Straits fortnight but a sunny day and NW force five.
This saw race Officer John Myerscough set challenging courses including a beat down river leaving Dukes buoy and the cruise ship Maasdam to port followed by a run up river then utilising both the Eastham and Garston channel buoys and finishing with a beat back down river to the club finish line.
Mark Blanchard’s Jenevieve, the lone Class 1, boat raced with the Class 2 boats and Warwick Telfer’s Clarevouyant, the one Class 3 boat raced its own course.
A challenging and enjoyable race was had by all who raced.
