Founded in 1988 Liverpool Yacht Club (LYC) is the largest yacht club in the Merseyside area offering keelboat sailing on the Mersey with bustling Liverpool City Centre as it’s backdrop.

Although the club does not have premises of its own, it is based at Liverpool Marina in the heart of Liverpool City Centre and members meet here regularly in the bar and for meetings.

Liverpool Marina itself has moorings for over 300 vessels and operates a lock system onto the river, locking boats out for approximately a 4-hour window over high water.

The flag officer structure of LYC consists of a Commodore, Honorary Secretary, Vice Commodore and Rear commodore. The flag officers are supported entirely by volunteers who work for various aspects of the club activity including racing, cruising, social events and dinghies. Product Feature
