Hyde Sails innovators of high technology racing sails have recently renewed their activity on the UK racing circuit. To ensure continued growth in this area Toby Barsley-Dale has been appointed specifically to look after One Design sales. His priorities are to grow the business and profile of Hyde in the One Design fleets both in the UK and abroad. Based at Hayling Island Toby will be working closely with class associations, boat builders and sailors to develop the fastest racing sails.
Toby will be at regattas and events throughout the year discussing design technology with sailors and using the expertise from the Hyde race team to ensure top boat performance is reached. Toby has raced Merlin Rocket’s on the club circuit and campaigned a Flying Dutchman entering several European and World competitions. He now sails a 505 and a B14 at Lymington Town Sailing Club.
Toby studied Maritime Management, at Warsash College then joined Moody’s where he worked for nine years selling boats and marine insurance. Following this Toby joined Marine Trader Media, based in Chichester, responsible for digital advertising.
