IODA extending the partnership

We are proud to announce that the International Optismist Dinghy Association (IODA) has reconfirmed the commitment to tracking and to the close partnership with TracTrac with the purchase of more than 200 new trackers in order to continue providing a first class live service at their international optimist championships.

TracTrac first started working with IODA at the 2010 IODA North American Championships and 5 years later tracking has demonstrated to the full how it drives thousands of online spectators to the events and keeps them captivated during and after. At the same time tracking has become an indispensable tool in visualizing the good as well as the bad moves of the sailors and educating them to become the sailing champions of the future.

We look very much forward to another 5 years with the IODA and we are extremely honoured to be able in this way to make our small contribution to forming the next generation of great sailors.
National Sailing Leagues off to a fantastic start

The National Sailing Leagues have come off to a fantastic start in 2015. Live tracking in combination with live images have captured the excitement of the first round battles in of the leagues in Denmark, Germany, Russia and Sweden.

More is to come, so keep on the lookout to follow the drama live throughout the season.
Wienerachter - how to time a rowing regatta

Wienerachter 2015 is the classic rowing race down the Donau right in the heart of the beautiful city of Vienna. As so often before, live tracking helped visualize the race for the crowds at start and finish and those scattered along the river, but an added benefit of the live tracking was that the tracking also served as the timing system of the event.

In the words of Wienerachter Race Director, Daniel Drobil: "For the first time in Austria a rowing regatta was supported with TracTrac. 80 boats headed down to downtown Vienna. Outsourcing timing to such an experienced team was a great benefit for the organizers. Next year again!"

Grundfos Olympics - tracking the best... and the lost

Never before in TracTrac have we provided our services to the internal company 'Olympic Games' of a multinational cooperation, but that was just what Grundfos ask us to do in May for the 'Grundfos Olympics'.

Participants from all over the world (and all levels of sporting skills) came to the Grundfos Olympics to determine who would be the company 'olympic champion' and most of all just build bonds and have a good time.

Not all were exactly elite athletes. Race Director, Jacob Gade, explains how the live tracking was a benefit for the event, both in relation to the elite - and the not so experienced:

"We are extremely happy with how everything went. The feed went out to all the big screens in the city and the feedback that we have received has just been positive. An added bonus was how the system helped us keeping track of the runners that were out for a very long time. We always knew where they were and in the end we could send out an official and pick the 'lost' runners up and bring them safely home."
