KICK START YOUR SEASON!
As the sailing season gets under way you may want to start thinking about your kitbag. Whilst buying new Drysuits, Wetsuits and Buoyancy Aids are all essential at some point there are also some cost effective products which will help make that first sail of the season a more enjoyable one.
GLOVES- Gloves are easily worn down through the pressures of sailing so a new pair gloves can come as a welcome relief to a sailor.
P&B BEST SELLER- Gill 3 Season Gloves
SOCKS- After a hard year of sailing it may mean that a new pair of Dinghy Socks is needed to help give your feet added protection and comfort in the cold waters.
P&B BEST SELLER- Zhik Superwarm Socks
WARM HATS- Getting your headgear right is essential to a sailors comfort on the water. Easily hidden in a pocket a good hat can be donned at any point before or during a race.
P&B BEST SELLER- Zhik Beanie
BASE LAYER- A Base Layer is a cheap but effective addition to the kit bag. On those mixed weather days you never know when you'll need that extra layer to keep you warm.
P&B BEST SELLER- Gill i2 Base Layers
SAILING WATCH- Timing is everything in sailing especially at the start of a race so a good Sailing Watch with countdown features is a vital bit of kit on race day.
P&B BEST SELLER- Optimum Time Series 11 Sailing Watch
Tool Box Spares!
There's nothing more infuriating than things breaking on your boat especially on race day but while accidents can happen there is no excuse for not being prepared. Every sailor has a trusted toolbox which is packed full of goodies to help get you through a racing day. P&B never go sailing with out spare Rubber Bungs, Tiller Extension Joint, 20mm Blocks, Cleats, Shackles, Clevis Pins and extra Rope so if you haven't looked in the tool box yet it may be time to check!
KIT of the WEEK!
Each week one of the P&B team will be looking into their kit bag and giving us an item that they simply wouldn't sail without!
Sailing at the first Merlin Rocket Silver Tiller Series event at Wembley SC P&B duo of Tom Stewart and James Dawes enjoyed instant success (check out video footage) with two bullets and 5th place finish. It's no surprise that this weeks 'Kit of the Week' comes from the pair then and their pick was the NEW Musto Dinghy Smock. Constructed of breathable 4-way stretch fabric, you have unrestricted freedom of movement as well as protection from the wind and spray making it a great sailing top for any dinghy/keelboat sailor.
