12-13 April 2014
We're off to friendly Frensham again on 12th/13th April for some excellent close racing and a good chance to see familiar faces. Frensham maybe small however it produces champions and hosts one of the best opens of the year.
The weekend starts with training on the Saturday 12th April followed by the open meeting on the Sunday 13th. If you wish to attend the training please contact Chris Ellis, with any specific needs.
The training this year will be run by Clive Eplett. Clive has recently written the popular dinghy racing publication 'Club Sailor: from back to front' which has many tips for us all, as well as being amusing. He currently sails an RS100, Laser and occasionally an RS200. In the 1980s Clive raced Larks and crewed for Paul Raby. They did very well, with 3 Belle Isle and 2 Inland wins as well as 3 Nationals 2nds! Clive is familiar with Frensham, which will help for the Open the following day. This will be a great opportunity to practise race starts, tactics and basic boat handling skills or whatever you require.
The training runs from 1130 to 1700 and includes entry to the Clubhouse Trophy pursuit race.
Training will cost £10.
