Registration is now open for the exciting Sail Brisbane event to be held over the Easter 2013 weekend, with entries expected from both national and international sailors. Open to all off the beach classes (with a minimum of 6 entries) including kiteboarding, the event will provide four days of competitive racing around Waterloo Bay.

Sail Brisbane will take place from Thursday 28 March to Monday 1 April, with the event schedule designed to finish early on Easter Monday to cater for visitors needing to return to work or wanting to continue their holiday.

Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron is proud to announce that this year the Event Coach and Mentor for Sail Brisbane will be Adrian Finglas. Adrian, the new RQYS Club Coach, is a nine-times Australian champion over seven classes and a three-times Olympic coach. He is an IRC Sydney to Hobart winner and has raced with many of the of the world's major professional sailing teams including the Australian America's Cup team.

Adrian will be focusing on Optimist, Sabot and Laser 4.7 classes, however he will be available for all competitors looking for advice about anything from boat and sail setup through to tactics. Techniques will include a mix of on water coaching, off-water debriefs and video analysis.

For those needing accommodation the Squadron has an on-site four-star motel plus there is a range of local options to suit any budget. Visit the website for a list of options.
