With under a week to go until the beginning of the new SailEAST season, this year sponsored by: Hutton Construction, HCC Insurance and Dolphin Sails, the entries for the first regatta of the season at Dabchicks Sailing Club are looking very strong with a number of new local boats looking to compete for the first time in the most successful regatta series on the East Coast. The range of competitors spans all four classes, with last year’s Champion, Richard Matthews leading the charge in Holding Pattern, through to J80’s and ¼ tonners.
SailEAST Chairman, Ian Scott commented – ‘Dabchicks are working hard to put on a great start to the SailEAST season so I’m sure it will be a great start to the 2012 season, which this year is supported by out sponsors – Hutton Construction, HCC Insurance and Dolphin Sails. As well as great racing on both days, Dabchicks have confirmed that the band this year are Junk Yard Aliens. The entries so far will I am sure deliver great racing across all four classes, so if you haven’t tried a SailEAST event before, you’ve just under a week to get your entry in and get the boat to West Mersea and I’m sure that you’ll have a great time’.
