East Anglian Sailing Trust wins £50,000

The East Anglian Sailing Trust yesterday won £50,000 from the Big Lottery - People's Millions on Anglia TV towards the estimated £71,000 cost of converting and equipping the New East Waterside Centre at Suffolk Yacht Harbour.

Thank you sincerely for your votes, backing and the many messages of congratulation already received!

Now the really hard work starts with the aim of having this facility open for use by our disabled sailors and the EAST volunteer team by the early part of the 2011 sailing season. Easter weekend 2011 is the target date for the official opening.

You may wish to be kept informed about this project - see the www.e-a-s-t.org.uk website for more details. We will welcome you on board for 2011 and hope to see you at the opening next year.

In this years Big Lottery - Peoples Millions The East Anglian Sailing Trust (EAST) at Suffolk Yacht Harbour, have reached the final of this years Big Lottery - People's Millions on Anglia TV.
