By Saturday Midday this should build to around 20 knots and swung to 228 degrees. The ends of the Solent should now be up to 22 knots.

Saturday 3pm - The wind should stay fresh throughout the afternoon reaching 25 knots in both the East & West Solent.

Weymouth & Portland

The 18 foot skiff UK Grand Prix series is starting at the Weymouth & Portland Sailing Academy this weekend. It looks like the No.2 rigs could be the order of the day - the winds should brush away the cobwebs for those who haven't been practicing during the winter!

By midday on Saturday the wind should be 23 knots from 230 degrees.

By 3pm on Saturday this should have increased a little to 24 knots from 234 degrees.
