Laser Stratos Nationals at Rollesby Broad - Preview

by Dan Griffey 8 Oct 2002 15:42 BST

The first Laser Stratos National Championships take place over the weekend of the 26th and 27th of October. This inaugral event will be held at the picturesque Rollesby Broad Sailing Club in Norfolk. Open to both the Laser Stratos and the Laser Stratos keel the plan is for four races to be held across the weekend.

Saturdays first race will start at 13.00 giving those traveling from a long way away the chance to get rigged up, and Sundays prize giving at 15.30 will leave ample time for a leisurely journey home. Saturday evening will see a social at the Rollesby Club House including a talk by the 'East Anglia Film Archive' following the history of Broad land sailing.

The weekend promises an excellent mix of racing, family fun and interest. To find out more about this event contact Jon Sallis on 01493 857313 (eve / we 01493 732106) or to find out more about the new and active Stratos Class Association e-mail sophie.jezierski@virgin.net.
