The CIC MED CHANNEL RACE 2027 is gearing up! The Notice of Race has been published and entries are now open.

On Sunday 21 March 2027, Class40 and Sun Fast 30 OD competitors will set sail from Marseille for another offshore showdown, starting from the iconic southern harbour, for the third consecutive year.

The only Mediterranean event included in the 2027 Class40 National Championship, the CIC MED CHANNEL RACE offers Class40s a challenging course of approximately 916 nautical miles, taking in Corsica, the Strait of Bonifacio, Sardinia and the Balearic Islands before returning to Marseille. The Sun Fast 30 OD fleet will tackle a course of around 720 nautical miles, adapted to the class and excluding the loop around Sardinia.

The addition of the Sun Fast 30 OD class expands the fleet and promises intense sporting competition between two classes with different characteristics. Two boat types, two courses, one shared challenge: choosing the right route, managing weather conditions and maintaining pace all the way to the finish line. Crews can expect a race in which strategy, endurance and performance will make the difference.
