Henri-Lloyd is pleased to announce its official partnership with Scaramouche Sailing Trust, a UK based charity that creates life changing opportunities for young people from diverse backgrounds through the power of sailing.

Henri-Lloyd is owned by Monte Rosa Sport (MRS), which also includes heritage apparel brands Odlo and Janus. This partnership with Scaramouche will see the charity benefitting from donations of inventory, enabling them to kit out their sailors and coaches with technical performance marine apparel, as well as base, mid layers and lifestyle pieces. The partnership is the first step in building a network of charity partners that will benefit from the Monte Rosa Sport Group's inventory each season.

Scaramouche works with Greig City Academy (a state secondary school in north London) to help its students benefit from sailing, broadening their horizons and giving them life skills that open pathways to employment opportunities otherwise out of reach. The programme has a track record of improving outcomes at school and opening access to new life opportunities, supporting young people to make better choices.

Last year, 400+ students participated in the programme on approximately 2,500 sailing days. Three boats entered Cowes Week 2026, and four students went into full-time maritime careers. It's a remarkable engagement rate which shows the potential and scalability of the programme.

Decorated Scaramouche alumni

Many of Scaramouche's alumni have also gone on to compete and win at the highest levels of the sport. Kai Hockley who left GCA in 2024, went onto an internship with Emirates GBR. Corneille Leprince who has left this summer (having been selected for the British Sailing Youth Team in June) has just signed a contract with Athena Pathway.

While inspirational stories like these are why Henri-Lloyd chose Scaramouche as its charity partner, two other reasons stood out:

Sailing should be for everyone. Cost, geography, awareness and school capacity all create real barriers to sailing. Many young people across the country miss out on the skills, confidence and career pathways that sailing can open up. Scaramouche exists to break down those barriers.

Sailing has transformative power. Sailing develops confidence, self-esteem, responsibility, teamwork, resilience, practical skills and ambition in an incredible way. For many young sailors, it becomes a catalyst for long-term personal growth and job opportunities previously out of reach.

To kick off the partnership, Henri-Lloyd has provided 30 pieces of gear, from technical sailing kit to lifestyle pieces.

The start of a wider giving programme

Hugo Maurstad, Chairman of MRS, said. "We create products that help people enjoy their outdoor activity more and perform better. To help more people enter a sport or activity, we will donate some of our inventory to organisations helping people to a better life."

He continued: "Scaramouche is exactly the kind of organisation we want to support — doing brilliant work in the sailing world, changing young people's lives every day. Our sport has real power to do good, and we want to help unlock that."

Lucy Markby, Development Manager at Scaramouche Sailing Trust, said: "This partnership with Henri-Lloyd means our sailors step onto the water equipped like the athletes they are, not just kitted out but backed. It's a huge vote of confidence in the young people we work with, and in everything we can achieve together."

Henri-Lloyd and MRS hope this partnership will inspire other charities and NGOs to come forward. Any charity or NGO interested in partnering with Monte Rosa Sport can contact Tom Clive at .
