Porquerolles to host the 2027 IRC European Championship

The Yacht Club de France Racing Division has decided to entrust the Yacht Club de Porquerolles with the organisation of the 2027 IRC European Championship (CEIRC 2027), which will take place from 3 to 9 May 2027 as part of the Porquerolle's Race.

With the organisation of this European Championship, the Porquerolle's Race and the Yacht Club de Porquerolles are taking another step forward.

The Yacht Club de Porquerolles is particularly proud to host this major European sailing event, which will bring together boats and crews from different countries on the waters of Porquerolles.

The Porquerolle's Race has been developing for several years, and in 2027 it will take another step forward, further establishing its European and international dimension. Hosting this high-level competition also recognises the Yacht Club de Porquerolles' recognised expertise in organising regattas and its commitment to improving the quality of its events year after year.

Sébastien Le Ber, President of the Yacht Club de Porquerolles, sees this new edition as a great challenge for the whole team:

"After having organised the 12m JI World Championship, hosting the 2027 IRC European Championship is another great challenge for us. We are truly delighted to see our events grow and to give them an increasingly international dimension. It is a great recognition of the work carried out by the Yacht Club over the years, but above all an additional motivation to continue improving and enhancing the quality of our organisations. A week of racing in the heart of the Mediterranean

From 3 to 9 May 2027, crews will come together for a high-level sporting programme in the waters of Porquerolles and the Bay of Hyères.

The Yacht Club de Porquerolles will draw on the experience of its teams, volunteers and partners to provide an organisation worthy of this championship, while preserving the spirit that defines the Porquerolle's Race.

With the hosting of the CEIRC 2027, the Porquerolle's Race continues its development and confirms its place among the leading sailing events in the Mediterranean.
