Ovington British OK National Championship at Tynemouth Sailing Club - Day 1

The first day of the Ovington sponsored OK Nationals, hosted by Tynemouth Sailing Club, saw the fleet racing in the North Bay in a fresh westerly breeze, gusting 27 knots.

Matt Howard claimed two bullets to lead at the end of the day with Charlie Cumbley in 2nd and Oli Davenport in 3rd.

With the wind forecasted to be stronger for day 2, PRO Nathan Batchelor will head out to assess conditions before making a call on racing for the day.
