Yesterday Norbert Sedlacek Koch had to abandon his 6th ANT ARCTIC LAB world record attempt after serious problems with all the electronic and electric systems on board of the Open60AAL. He is now heading back to Les Sables.

After a good start, Norbert yesterday encountered serious problems with his navigational electronics and all the electrical systems and had to take the decision to turn back.

Norbert is right now on his way back to Les Sables, in position 61°18' N and 012° 04' W.

After serious problems with all the navigational electronics and electric systems, yesterday at 1545 UTC Norbert had to turn back.

Only emergency systems are now working. We do not know the source of the problems.

The body of the boat and the rigg are fine and the most necessary communications are possible. He can navigate safely and should arrive sometime next week in Les Sables.
