Ancasta has strengthened its senior leadership team with the appointment of Rob Seabourne to the newly created role of Group Brokerage Manager.
The strategic appointment reinforces Ancasta's commitment to the brokerage side of its business and follows the company's continued expansion across the UK and Europe, where it now operates a network of 22 sales offices.
Having rejoined Ancasta in May after seven years away, Seabourne will now work closely with brokerage teams across the Group to support performance, share best practice, identify new opportunities and further strengthen Ancasta's position within the used boat sales market.
"This is an important appointment for Ancasta as we continue to invest in our brokerage business across both the UK and Europe," says Stuart Brotherton, Sales Director at Ancasta.
"Rob will play a key role in supporting our brokerage teams, developing opportunities and helping drive our used boat sales business further forward.
"His combination of brokerage expertise, commercial leadership and deep understanding of Ancasta makes him uniquely qualified for this role. He knows our business inside out, understands our customers and shares the values that have always set Ancasta apart."
With more than 20 years in the marine industry, Seabourne began his career working onboard luxury yachts and with sailing charter organisations throughout the Mediterranean and Caribbean, becoming a Commercially Endorsed RYA Yachtmaster and completing two Atlantic crossings before joining Ancasta in 2003 as a Sales Broker in the company's Hamble office.
Over the following 16 years, he held a variety of brokerage and new boat sales roles across the business, including positions in Ancasta's Hamble, Brighton and Dartmouth sales offices. His broad experience across multiple offices provided an in-depth understanding of Ancasta's customers, brands and brokerage operations.
In 2019, Seabourne relocated to Mallorca to join a luxury yacht sales company as Sales Manager before progressing to Brand Sales Manager, overseeing sales across Germany, Spain and the Balearics. The role further strengthened his commercial expertise while broadening his knowledge of the wider European market.
"I'm delighted to be returning to Ancasta at such an exciting time for the business," says Seabourne. "The company has a long-standing reputation for professionalism, integrity and outstanding customer service, and I am looking forward to working with our brokerage teams across the UK and Europe to build on those strengths.
"With an exceptional network of offices, experienced brokers and an unrivalled range of sailing and motor yachts, Ancasta is ideally positioned to continue leading the brokerage market, and I'm excited to be part of the next stage of that journey."
The appointment comes as Ancasta continues to expand its presence across Europe and invest in its brokerage capabilities, supporting growing demand for both sail and power yachts while further strengthening the expertise available to buyers and sellers throughout its international sales network.
