With just ten days to go until this year's Rooster HISC Open Youth Race Week (3rd - 7th August
2026), entries are still open!
It is one of the most anticipated events on the youth calendar at HISC, with exciting racing and a
packed social programme - the week brings sailors together across all fleets at one of the UK's
premier sailing venues.
On the water, the schedule includes 15 races for all fleets throughout the week.
The fleets supported by HISC Youth Race Week include Optimists, RS Tera Sport and Pro, RS
Feva, ILCA 4 and ILCA 6, RS200s, as well as a handicap fleet.
The racing is designed for a wide
range of abilities, whether you are in the Bronze Fleet racing in Chichester Harbour or
competitively racing in Hayling Bay as a more experienced sailor there is something for all
abilities.
Beyond sailing, Youth Race Week has a packed social calendar that you will not want to miss
out on with chocolate bingo, splicing workshops, a photo booth, BBQ on the beach and a surf
simulator.
The week's best social highlight will be the Black-Tie Ball on Thursday evening,
featuring a delicious three-course meal, fun casino and live music from DJ Freddie Covell.
