Oceanco is pleased to announce that Winel has become part of the Oceanco Group. This latest acquisition further strengthens the Group's capabilities and reinforces its shared commitment to shaping a new generation of yachts.

Winel specializes in high-quality, custom-made and standardized solutions for the maritime industry and includes the companies Staalart and Yachtsupport. With Winel's expertise and capacity, Oceanco further expands its innovative capabilities and strengthens collaboration across the Group, alongside Alewijnse, Aluship, Lateral and Mercury.

"Together with Gabe Newell, we are building the yachts of the future. With the addition of Winel to the Oceanco Group, we can continue working on new innovations in the field of one of the most complex components of an Oceanco yacht," says Marcel Onkenhout, Oceanco CEO.

Founded in 1956 and headquartered in Assen, the Netherlands, where its main production facility is located, Winel operates in the field of tank vent check valves, manually operated doors and hatches, watertight sliding doors, hull doors and exclusive yacht equipment. Winel is active not only in yacht building but also in the commercial shipping and offshore sectors, among others. These activities will continue, and Winel will operate with the same team and strategic direction, while continuing to serve existing and new clients.

"Our doors and hatches are known for their reliability under the harshest conditions, and the same applies to our relationship with Oceanco" adds Ake van der Vinne, Winel CEO. "Together with the other partners within the Group, we will develop groundbreaking solutions for the maritime industry."

The relationship between Winel and Oceanco goes back a long way. The collaboration began in the late 1990s with complex lifting equipment on the Oceanco yacht, Al Mirqab and most recently with the adjustable hinge on Leviathan's hull doors that stay horizontal to the deck, in order to accommodate different sea conditions. The components developed and produced by Winel play an increasingly important role in all of the Oceanco yachts.

Welcome, Winel, and welcome to a new chapter of the Oceanco Group.
