BIA congratulates well-known industry leader Savwinch, named the 2026 AIMEX Exporter of the Year at the recent Australian Marine Industry Awards, recognising the company's exceptional international growth, innovation and contribution to the global marine industry.

The award highlights Savwinch's rapid expansion across key markets including North America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East, alongside strong momentum that saw international sales grow by more than 120% in 2025. Presented ahead of the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, the recognition reinforces Savwinch's position as a global leader in drum winching technology and marine equipment.

The announcement coincided with the launch of two major innovations—the Digital Winch Counter and the world's first fully 316 stainless steel Deck Wash Pump—both generating strong industry interest at SCIBS. From humble beginnings in 2006, when founder Nick Savva built his first winch for a friend's boat, Savwinch has grown into an internationally recognised Australian brand known for engineering innovation and reliability. Today, the company continues to expand globally while staying true to its original vision: delivering high-quality, Australian-designed marine solutions to boaters worldwide.
