No racing was possible on Saturday but on Sunday the event got under way with three races

Race 1 - SE force 2

Nick Craig & Toby Lewis, were first to the windward mark closely followed by Charles Morrish & Dan Swaffield and Johnny & Libby Allen who had taken the left side of the course and came in on the port lay line. At the leeward mark Johnny rounded ahead of Charles and Nick with Phil Ford & Jane Humpage just behind.

On the next beat Nick took the lead and went on to win ahead of Johnny while Tim Sadler & Richard Sault came through to push Charles & Dan back to fourth.

Silver fleet winners: Johnny & Libby Allen; runners up: Christine & Leo Fry

Bronze Fleet winners: Esther & Brian Bowdler; runners up: Andy & Emma Smith

Race 2 - SE force 2

Jeff Dyer & Ella Rich went well to the right to keep out of the strongest tide and judged their approach to the windward mark perfectly to round ahead of the rest of the fleet. They were never challenged; behind them Nick & Toby came in second and Tim & Saulty third.

Silver fleet winners: Loz Young & Jacks Claydon; runners up: Andy Gomm & Daisy Ross

Bronze fleet winners: Andy & Emma Smith; runners up: Peter Randall & Helen Cummins

Race 3 - E force 3

A wind shift shortly before the start favoured the pin end. Nick & Toby hit the line on the gun, tacked onto port and crossed the fleet. A little behind them Tim & Saulty did the same. The midline sag was severe because of the tide pushing boats back from the line but Andy Gomm & Daisy Ross read it perfectly to sailing into clear air.

All three played the right hand side of the beat with Nick rounding ahead of Andy and Tim. Tim managed to pull past Andy at the end of lap 2 and those were the final placings.

Silver fleet winners: Andy Gomm & Daisy Ross; runners up: James & Stephen Driver

Bronze fleet winners: Andy & Emma Smith; runners up: Esther & Brian Bowdler
