Who Will Be Crowned Asymmetric Challenge Champion in 2026?

The titans of the asymmetric sailing world will descend on Grafham Water, Cambridgeshire, on 11-12 July for the 2026 Grafham Water Asymmetric Challenge.

Competitors from across the UK fleet scene will battle to take the title from reigning champions Peter and James Curtis, winners of last year's event in their RS500.

Set on Grafham Water's impressive 1,550-acre reservoir, the event offers expansive race areas and the opportunity to run outstanding windward-leeward courses. Last year's regatta attracted a wide variety of classes, including RS500s, 4000s, K6s, Cherubs and an ISO, producing close and exciting racing across the fleet.

The event is open to all asymmetric classes with a Great Lakes Handicap between 697 and 1095, creating a competitive and varied entry list that could include 49ers, B14s, Cherubs, RS classes, International Canoes, Musto Skiffs, International 14s, K6s and ISOs and 2000s. Three classes, the B14, Buzz and Cherub have designated the event as their 2026 Inland Championship.

A full programme of eight races is scheduled across the weekend, with Saturday evening featuring a meal and bar.

Whether you are chasing podium places or simply looking for a great weekend of racing, the Grafham Water Asymmetric Challenge offers high-quality competition, spectacular viewing afloat and a welcoming social atmosphere ashore.

Camping will be available within the club grounds, with food, drinks and hot showers provided throughout the weekend.

The entry fee which includes an evening meal on the Saturday evening has been kept to a very reasonable £83 for double handers and £60 for single handers.

Entry and camping bookings open on 11 June on the Grafham Water Asymmetric Challenge Entry Page
