There is just over one month to go until the 2026 Nation's Cup begins at the National School Sailing And Water Sports Centre ENVSN, in Quiberon, France. This stunning venue provides superb facilities, a fabulous bay to race in and the beautiful town of Quiberon as a backdrop.

The weather, well it is the south of France so gloriously warm with a waft of garlic and fine coffee in the air and the chime of wine glasses anytime of day.

There are currently 38 entries and with plenty of accommodation available there is still time to double up with another Solo sailor therefore splitting the cost of ferry or tunnel fees, sharing a bed though may be a step too far.

Online entry is via this link; stpierre.axyomes.com/client/index.php

Should you need any help with entering you can go to this link for some tips: www.solosailing.org.uk/nations-cup

Late entry fees apply after May 1st so please do not delay, and save yourself 20 Euros.

  • Entry fee until 1st of May 240€.
  • Entry fee from May 2nd 260€.

Of those already entered, and I anticipate at least another twenty UK sailors, Tom Gillard, Paul Davis and Tim Law look like our strongest challengers though Alex Butler, Chris Brown and Mike Lennon could also have a say. Menno Huisman is the Dutch talisman but they have strength in depth so do not rule out someone I cannot even pronounce.

Entry fee also includes:

  • a welcome cocktail on the terrace of the SRSP
  • a gala dinner (cafetaria at ENVSN)
  • an event T-shirt

Not included: Lunch bags may be ordered in advance at the ENVSN reception, and paid directly.
