With the recent news that the B&G H5000 Graphic Display is being discontinued, there will be many sailors wondering what to do when theirs need replacing. A+T has the answer...

Tens of thousands of H5000 displays have been sold over the years and can be found on masts and cockpits on yachts around the world. Changing to a larger display often isn't a desirable option, and a touch screen is often a disadvantage. Mast brackets need to be changed, new holes drilled and most replacement displays require a separate power supply, so new wiring is required.

A+T recognised that what was needed was a drop-in upgrade which can directly replace the H5000, so you don't have to start modifying your boat or planning other workarounds. What's more, the HFD5 offers significantly better performance and is engineered to the highest standards for maximum reliability.

The HFD5 is powered directly from the N2K bus, meaning it's a direct connector swap replacement, has the latest generation full colour transflective display for better viewing in direct sunlight, button control, is fully waterproof, and every unit is tested underwater and in an oven to 75°C.

The unit is the exact same 172mm width by 114mm height as the end-of-life H5000 Display, has full manufacturer support, and a 3-year warranty.
