SailGP, the most exciting racing on water, today announced a new global partnership with leading British manufacturer Marlow Ropes, who joins the championship as the Official Rope Supplier through the end of the 2027 Season.

The partnership brings together the most exciting racing on water and a world-leading manufacturer whose ropes are trusted across every level of the sport of sailing - from grassroots programs to elite high-performance competition.

Marlow Ropes will also play a role in select SailGP Inspire the Next Generation programs, the league's global youth education program designed to spark a lifelong passion for foiling while igniting curiosity around science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). Marlow Ropes' splicing and rope technology will introduce young learners to the technical skills behind the sport of sailing.

The partnership will also extend to SailGP's fan experience, with Marlow Ropes delivering Race Stadium activations across the season, offering hands-on workshops where fans can learn the same technical rope skills used in professional sail racing.

Joel Marginson, SailGP Technologies Director, said: "Partnering with Marlow Ropes is a natural fit for SailGP. Their products are trusted across the sport of sailing, and together we're excited to showcase the technology and craftsmanship used to power the most exciting - and technical - racing on water. Rope systems play a critical role in the precision and performance required to race F50s at high speed, and Marlow's expertise will help highlight the innovation behind every moment on the water."

Paul Honess, Leisure Marine Sales Director, said: "Marlow Ropes and SailGP are a natural partnership, united by a shared commitment to high performance, technical innovation, and a deep responsibility to protect our oceans. As a global leader in sustainable rope manufacturing, we bring advanced materials science and eco driven engineering to the world's most exciting racing league. Our pioneering use of bio based fibres, recycled materials, and low impact production processes aligns perfectly with SailGP's ambitions."

Recognizing that elite performance and long-term responsibility must go hand in hand, the technical demands of SailGP drive Marlow Ropes to continuously push the limits of rope technology. Marlow Ropes products are engineered to perform under extreme loads and conditions, enabling athletes to compete at the highest level without compromise.

Together, Marlow Ropes and SailGP are not only raising the bar for performance on the water but are also setting new standards for responsibility across the global sailing community.

SailGP returns later this month, with the championship's highly-anticipated South American debut, the Enel Rio Sail Grand Prix, April 11-12. Tickets are selling fast, with limited availability remaining. Visit SailGP.com/Rio to secure your place.
