Les Dames de Saint-Tropez and L'Oréal Group – a partnership full of beauty

by Chloé de Brouwer 18 Mar 07:11 GMT 8-10 May 2026

This is one of the Société Nautique de Saint-Tropez's flagship events, celebrating women at the helm and on board the Mediterranean's finest traditional sailing yachts!

Committed to supporting women in competitive sailing since 1995, L'Oréal Group is a natural partner for this sporting event brimming with charm and elegance: Les Dames de Saint-Tropez.

L'Oréal Group, a major supporter of the women's team that took part in the very first Women's America's Cup in 2024, and also of the French Sail GP team, is therefore joining forces with the Société Nautique de Saint-Tropez, itself the challenger club for the French America's Cup team in 2027 following 2024. A shared commitment to sailing, female sailors, the sea and a sustainable economy.

Engaged women sailors, including Alexia Barrier, a regular at the event

The 13th edition of the Dames de Saint-Tropez, an invitational event, will take place over three days of racing from 8 to 10 May 2026 in the Gulf of Saint-Tropez.

Competing will be a superb line-up of classic yachts invited by the organisers, with crews consisting mainly of female sailors from diverse backgrounds and nationalities.

The event has already welcomed several committed female sailors, including Catherine Chabaud, Aloise Retornaz and Marie Tabarly...

And let's not forget Alexia Barrier, who is returning to compete in the Dames de Saint-Tropez this year aboard the beautiful and sporty 6mJI One Wave.

Having completed the Vendée Globe and the Jules Verne Trophy, Alexia made sporting history this year by becoming the first all-female crew to complete this non-stop round-the-world race with a women's record time of 57 days, 21 hours and 20 minutes!

On land, spectators will be able to admire the yachts and meet the sailors in the Port of Saint-Tropez. The festive programme will bring the participants together in a friendly atmosphere ahead of the prize-giving ceremony on Sunday 10 May 2026.

A remarkable line-up that is a real feast for the eyes

In the legendary old port of Saint-Tropez and on the starting line of the regattas, we will see the regulars of this event; the 1969 MARIA GIOVANNA, the most loyal competitor (this will be her 12th appearance) and a multiple winner of the Ladies' race, as well as the loyal and formidable crews such as the fleet's oldest vessel: the 1897 LULU and the 1962 RATAFIA.

Also among the favorites, the 1929 ketch BELLE AVENTURE will be taking part, the 1965 yawl HERMITAGE, the 1913 8-metre gaff-rigged NIN, the 1950 6mJI ONE WAVE, the 1935 cutter IRENE VIII, THEA, a 21m sloop from 1918, the 1938 SERENADE, the 1951 ANDALE and the 1931 BRISEIS

Newcomers to the race will add even more excitement and colour to the event; the Bermudian sloops JOSEPHINE (1959), MOONSPRAY (1962), RHEA (1940), ROY D'YS (1965) and SUZETTE (1930)

It should be noted that this regatta forms part of the AFYT (French Association of Traditional Yachts) calendar.

Under the supervision of an all-female race committee led by Alice Coquant, the competitors will sail in the Gulf of Saint-Tropez on Friday 8 May, Saturday 9 May and Sunday 10 May, weather permitting, of course.
