Henri-Lloyd has been announced as the Official Performance Clothing Partner to Prometheus Sailing, the UK's leading sailing school.

Based at Port Solent, Prometheus Sailing operates an extensive fleet of charter yachts and delivers a range of sailing activities, from RYA training and yacht charters to flotilla sailing and corporate race events. Central to the company's ethos is accessibility, enabling anyone to get out on the water, whether as an individual, a group of friends, or work colleagues.

As part of the multi-year partnership, all Prometheus sailing personnel will be equipped with the latest Henri-Lloyd high-performance technical apparel, ensuring they remain warm, dry and safe in all conditions on and off the water. New Henri-Lloyd uniforms will also be introduced for shore-based staff.

Recognising that many newcomers to sailing do not initially own appropriate technical kit, Prometheus will provide Henri-Lloyd Biscay jackets and Coastal salopettes for use by customers during sailing courses and yacht charters. Prometheus clients will also be offered preferential pricing on Henri-Lloyd clothing and accessories.

Prometheus is particularly well known for making yacht racing accessible through its Rock Up and Race programme. This enables individuals to join a race crew or charter an entire boat, with or without additional coaching and support, and compete in high-profile events including Cowes Week and the Round the Island Race. Henri-Lloyd will also be running competitions to win places to sail in key events, such as Cowes Week as part of the partnership.

Prometheus' annual race series will also be rebranded as the Henri-Lloyd Racing Series. The series comprise five weekend regattas, beginning in March and concluding in October, taking place from the company's headquarters at Port Solent. The two top teams from each of the series will go head-to-head in a final race in November, competing for prizes supplied by Henri-Lloyd. One of Prometheus' fleet of 12 identical Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 41ft yachts will be branded as the Henri-Lloyd boat.

Announcing the partnership, Simon Boulding, Managing Director at Prometheus Sailing, said:
"We are really excited to be working with Henri-Lloyd, a long-established, premium brand that shares our commitment to getting more people out on the water. This partnership brings real value to our staff and customers alike."

Ross Partridge, Corporate Sales Manager at Henri-Lloyd, added: "For those new to sailing, being warm, dry and comfortable can make the difference between enjoying the experience or not. For professionals working on the water, it's non-negotiable. Prometheus' ethos of making sailing and racing accessible aligns perfectly with our brand values, and we're looking forward to working closely together over the coming seasons."

A Q&A with Matteo Alfieri about Henri-Lloyd's Mav-Lite Shell 2.0 There's an old joke in the Pacific Northwest that you can wear the same kit to go sailing on Saturday and skiing on Sunday—you've just got to change your outer layers.
