The Switzerland SailGP Team returns to racing this weekend in Sydney for the third event of the 2026 championship, closing a demanding opening stretch and entering a phase where consistency, execution, and visibility become decisive.

Sydney Harbour is one of SailGP's most iconic and technically demanding venues. Tight race boundaries, a dynamic breeze, and close-quarters racing create a premium environment where performance, precision, and decision-making are fully on display both on the water and on broadcast.

Following recent on-water incidents, the team arrives in Sydney with renewed clarity and confidence. Repairs after the Perth collision and the resolution of minor technical issues encountered in Auckland have resulted in a technically solid and reliable racing platform. This stability allows the team to focus fully on racing performance while delivering a consistent, high-quality platform for partners and stakeholders.

This weekend also marks a milestone moment for SailGP, with racing staged for the first time in a twilight Golden Hour window. From 5:30 to 7:00pm (AEDT) on both race days, the F50 fleet will race against the Sydney skyline in stadium-style conditions designed to maximise spectacle, broadcast reach, and partner exposure.

France and New Zealand will not take part in the Sydney event following recent incidents. Importantly, all athletes involved are recovering well, underscoring SailGP's continued focus on safety and long-term performance.

With a closely matched fleet and points at a premium, Sydney offers a powerful platform to combine sporting execution with global brand visibility as the 2026 season continues to build momentum.
