Our vlog series continues, and this time we're following Sweden's Vilma Bobeck and Ebba Berntsson in the lead-up to the 2025 49erFX World Championships in Cagliari, Italy.

Rather than a full "day in the life," this episode offers an inside look at how a brand-new team prepares to compete at the highest level. With Vilma coming off an Olympic silver medal in Paris alongside Rebecca Netzler, she now has a new teammate in Ebba — younger and less experienced, but learning quickly under Vilma's guidance.

The vlog captures their focused on-water training and candid reflections on building a partnership from scratch. It's a rare glimpse at how two sailors adapt and grow together before a major championship.

Their hard work paid off: competing against a highly competitive fleet, Vilma and Ebba went on to claim the silver medal at the 2026 World Championships, earning the title of Vice World Champions in their very first major regatta as a team.

Stay tuned for more episodes in the series, as we continue to showcase elite sailors across the 49er, 49erFX and Nacra 17 classes and their journeys toward the Olympics.
