Event Details:

This course is designed to prepare you for survival offshore in on-the-water emergencies. What you learn may save your life and the lives of others. If you are interested in the Race to Mackinac (Chicago-Mac), this course will meet the most recently posted requirements.

In order to become certified, participants in the hands-on course must complete US Sailing's Offshore Safety at Sea online course within 365 days of taking the hands-on course and provide their certificate of completion before attending the hands-on program. The prerequisite for most people is the "Offshore" course covering 14 topics. There is an additional charge for this online portion. More details are available here.

This presentation is geared toward women learning with other women, and will be taught by women only. Our US Sailing moderator will be Chicago sailor Leslie Washburn.

Individual registration is limited to women only. A registrant may bring a guest of any gender.

Full details are available here. Space is limited.
