Henri-Lloyd's Consort Round the World Race Jacket - iconic jacket updated for modern performance

by Henri-Lloyd 17 Jan 12:00 GMT

The new Consort Round the World Race Jacket is a contemporary re-engineering of one of Henri-Lloyd's most iconic jackets, famously worn by Sir Francis Chichester during his solo circumnavigation of the globe in 1966-67. Now 60 years later, the Consort RWR jacket incorporates modern, high-performance fabrics and environmentally responsible insulation, engineered to deliver uncompromising protection across the widest range of conditions.

Available in Navy, Light Olive, and Washed Yellow, the Consort RWR Jacket is fully waterproof and windproof. A durable 2-layer shell with an integrated membrane is fully seam taped to provide dependable weather defence while maintaining breathability. Practical design features include an insulated collar, a fully adjustable and removable hood, and adjustable cuffs for a secure, comfortable fit. Two external hand-warming pockets and an internal pocket offer functional storage, while the sleeve is finished with the original Henri-Lloyd Round the World Race embroidery—an authentic nod to the jacket's heritage.

Engineered for complete protection in challenging weather, the Consort RWR is finished with a PFC-free (C0) durable water-repellent treatment and delivers a 10,000mm waterproof rating (JIS-L1092A) alongside a 3,000mm breathability rating (JIS-L1099 A1) for lasting comfort during prolonged wear. Insulation is provided by 250g of REPREVE® recycled PET loose-fill insulation, made from 100% recycled plastic bottles, offering reliable warmth with a reduced environmental footprint. A two-way YKK centre-front zip sits behind a button-over storm flap, while reflective-flecked shock cord and back webbing enhance visibility in low-light conditions.

The Consort Round the World Race Jacket is available in sizes Small to 2XL and retails at £395. It is available through selected retailers and online at www.henrilloyd.com.
