From first initiatives to solid game-changer actions

Since 2019, the EurILCA Sustainability Programme has evolved from a handful of ideas into a set of concrete actions that now shape how our events are organised across Europe.

This impact report captures that journey. It looks at how the programme was built step by step, how practical solutions were tested and refined, and how a focus on realistic, repeatable actions led to measurable change—particularly in reducing single-use plastics at EurILCA events.

Rather than aiming for perfection, the programme has prioritised doing what works: small decisions with lasting impact, driven by collaboration between organisers, sailors, venues and volunteers.

This report covers the period from 2019 to 2025 and sets the foundation for regular sustainability reporting in the years ahead.
